Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is a disorder characterized by generalized mental and physiologicaln symptoms of anxiety that do not focus on a specific object, place, organ, intrusive thought or compulsion, and lack a specific intellectual content. People are constantly worried that something bad will happen, that they will receive news of a disaster. In mild cases, this can be manifested by feelings such as restlessness and tension during the day, while in severe cases, very strong anxiety can occur that interferes with daily life. If left untreated, people are known to struggle with anxiety and this causes a significant reduction in their quality of life. Psychopharmacology and psychotherapy are used in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, which is known to occur in 3-6% of the general population, and with effective treatment, a good response can be obtained.
